Today we’re tackling the issue of error codes 40 and 41, which many users encounter right after installing Ensp.
The main cause of this issue is often the incompatibility between the versions of the four applications you’ve downloaded.

When I first started using Ensp, I also encountered errors 40 and 41 (which I resolved later).
If you encounter these issues, simply follow these steps.
Experiment Environment
For this experiment, I set up a new Windows 10 machine.
Both Windows 10 and Windows 11 are okay. I haven’t tested Windows 7 yet.
Uninstall Source Applications
First, uninstall the four applications you installed (VirtualBox, WinPcap, Wireshark, and Ensp).
Make sure to also remove the corresponding storage files.
When uninstalling VirtualBox, remove this folder from the C drive under Users.
After everything is uninstalled!
Installation Steps
1. Disable the firewall
2. Disable antivirus and maintenance software
3. Begin installation
After obtaining the installation package, open the archive, and it looks like this.
Install the first software (WinPcap)
Simply keep clicking next by default to complete the installation.
Install the second software (Wireshark)
By default, click next and choose your path (it must be an English path).
Install the third software (VirtualBox)
Click next by default without changing these options; just install it (this path must be in English).
Install the fourth software (Ensp)
Choose Chinese, then keep clicking next by default, and choose your path.
At this point, since we have already installed the three software, it will automatically detect them. We can continue to the next step to install.
Testing
After completing this, run ensp. At this moment, do not allow any simulator!
At this point, we pull out an AR and PC.
Green means successful operation.
Precautions
1. All downloaded software directories must be in English.
2. Once downloads are complete, you need to register the devices.
