Description: This event is generated when an attempt is made to access the file robots.txt directly. Impact: Information gathering. Corrective: Consider using the robots Meta tag in web pages to disallow search engine indexing. Do not place any sensitive information in the root directory of the webserver. This will negate the need to add these entries to robots.txt.
