Description: This event is generated when an attempt is made to request a file by the HTTP LOCK method. Impact: Denial of service. Repeated successful attempts can consume all CPU resources subsequently crashing the victim server. Corrective: Consider using the IIS Lockdown Tool to disable WebDAV if it is not necessary. Download and install the appropriate patch mentioned in the Microsoft bulletin.
