Description: Versions of the file sharing software Samba 1.9.19 and prior contain a buffer overflow condition that can be exploited by supplying an overly long password to the Samba server. Impact: System compromize presenting the attacker with the opportunity to gain remote access to the victim host or execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running the Samba server. Corrective: Upgrade to the latest version of Samba.
